Form Chandrapur city and is home for a variety of wild life namely, Sloth Bear, Bison’s, Sandbar, Leopards, Breaking Dear, heetahs Hawks and so forth. It is quite thrilling to spot a majestic. Tiger in the wild and thousand of wildlife lovers have enjoyed every bit of their time in the forests by spotting tigers, especially during summer. Needless to mention that the number of visitors to the tiger Reserve is swelling year after year, as it has achieved the distinction of being one of the most sought after a places for Tiger spotting in the country.
TEAK Those keen in enjoying flora in the forests too have a variety of places around Chandrapur, Ballarshah teak is only next to the world famous Burma Teak and place namely, Glory of Allapalli has the unique feature of having great Teak. Trees that stands as tall as over 150ft. with a girth of 6-10 feet. The place is over 175kms from the city.

Chandrapur Super Tharmal Power Station The City is also home for Chandrapur super Thermal Power Station, Asia’s Largest Thermal Power Station witha generation capacity of 2340 MW. a chain of Cement Factories around it. ACC is theoldest cement-manufacturing unit followed by Manikghar Cement, Ultratech (L&T Cement earlier), Maratha Ambuja. There are over 6 Sponge Iron Units namely, Lloyds Metals & Engineering Ltd., Gopani Iron & Power Ltd., Sidhbali Ispath Ltd., Gupta Metallic & Power Ltd. and so on. It has Ballarpur Paper Mills (15Kms form City), Maharashtra Electro smith Ltd. the Ferro Manganese Unit along with scores of other ancillary unit.
Chandrapur May also prove to be a very good place for those having keen
interest in historical monuments. The place was ruled by Gond Dynasty. It
has famous Mahakali Temple and thousands of devotees from distant place
like Nanded, Latur and other Besides, it has king Birshah’s Tomb, the
largest in the state for any king,

He is known for ‘LokBiradari’, a lovely place for the tribal to avail of medical treatment. It is located around 200 kms and needless to mention that the selfless service of Dr. Amte. is a major attraction for urbanites. A similar venture with international Recognition is at Chatgaon in Gadcchiroli District (120 kms) that is being run in the name of SEARCH by a Doctor couple namely Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Rani Bang.
